Dentro Del Cerebro Hay Un Universo

Hace un par de semanas, en la clase de Biologia, utilizamos el laboratorio para inspeccionar un encéfalo de vaca en grupos, todos los grupos tuvieron que hacer cortes o mover sus partes para inspeccionarlo a fondo. La semana pasada, nuestra profesora nos dio el trabajo de hacer un ThingLink marcando sus componentes:

We Are What We Wear

Our Language teacher tasked us on writing an essay related to fashion, after watching the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" with our Language and Use of English teacher. The essay had to contain:
-About 180 words.
-Six Conectors.
-One Rhetorical Question.
-Two Metaphors or Similes.

We also had to include the following concepts or words:

                                                           We Are What We Wear

       Clothes, what are clothes? are they a representation of our personality? We are what we wear, and that's a fact, like we breath air we wear clothes, although they may be ridicule or be uncomfortable.

       Now ask yourself, does your mood affect your style and possible options for the clothes you are going to wear the rest of the day? Some may agree, on one hand, peopke who felt sad or depressed wore dark clothes, while on the other hand, the people who felt happy used comfy and colourful clithes which fitted their personality or traits. Another thing that I wanted to write about wais how how pwoplw judge each other by the clothes they wear without taking into consideration theyre feelings, in addition, they might not even know each other. If you are one of these people who judge by their looks, stop right now since you can seriously hurt their feelings. Would you actually want to be judged as much as you judge others? That is a serious problem that our society needs to fix inmediatly. Going back to the clothes affected by our personality, we sometimes wnat to wear some clothes according to our mood, but we can't due to our vocation or jobs, that may force us to wear a standard uniform which can get really uncomfortable or hideous along your working period, also, uniforms, either school uniforms or job uniforms, are known to opress your feelings.
       To sum up, wear whatever you want, when you want, don't judge and if you get judged don't pay any attention, since that is who you are and lastly, don't worry about uniforms, they are just a piece of cloth, so don't worry about it. Because in the end, are clothes essential?

¡Contenido Químico, No Abrir!

Nuestra profesora de Fisico-Quimica nos dio la tarea de buscar un tutorial (ya sea en video o pagina web) que nos haya ayudado  a entender alguno de los conceptos trabajados en clase. Yo elegí esta pagina web que me ayudó a entender mejor la regla de las diagonales. Aunque esta pagina contiene temas que todavia no trabajamos en clase, me ayudo mucho para repasar antes de un examen.

Games at Twilight

Our literature teacher tasked us with making a presentation based on the short story "Games at Twilight", I partered up with Nicolas Paglierino to make this presentation.

Dèjá Vu

Our poetry teacher gave us the task to write a poem based on three subjects with a minimum of 12 lines. I tried to write the poem in the format of "Coming Home".

 My senses turn dull,
 While I stroll through the halls,
 Of my beautiful house
 Turning into dust.

 With my eyes I see
 Vivid memories in pictures,
 As I prepare a cup of tea,
 For my peevish, little sister.

 I can hear my mother,
 Cooking at the kitchen.
 The smoke covers all the windows,
 Like a nuclear winter.

 My father isn't here,
 He is wearing off his body,
 Trying to beat life,
 For some miserable money.

 I like to stay at my room,
 Because it helps me kill time,
 It helps me bloom,
 It helps me unwind.

 I wash my face,
 To escape from this cruel world,
 To blur my senses,
 That don't let me stay afloat.

El día 15 de Abril, se llevo a cabo la fiesta electrónica "Time Warp", donde 10 personas se intoxicaron con pastillas, que contienian éxtasis y en algunos, combinada con otras cosas como cocaína y anfetaminas. 5 de ellas entre 20 y 25 años murieron durante la primera noche de Time Warp, los que sobrevivieron, están gravemente hospitalizados en estado critico en 3 hospitales porteños. Los síntomas de las 10 personas afectadas coinciden, aumento de la temperatura corporal, deshidratación, convulsiones, aceleración de los latidos cardíacos, mareo, aumento de la presión y dificultad para respirar. A los jóvenes se les ofrecieron las pastillas durante la fiesta, pero hasta hubieron algunos que llevaron sus propias dosis. Los jóvenes habían escuchado que esta droga tenia muchos efectos, hasta había algunos que ya sabían como usarlas para tener un cierto efecto gratificante. Las autopsias revelaron que los jóvenes fallecidos sufrieron de un edema pulmonar que les causó un paro cardiorrespiratorio. No se sabe que causó la complicación pulmonar, que impide respirar debido a la acumulación de líquido en los pulmones por, en estos casos, la imposibilidad del corazón de bombear sangre al resto del cuerpo. Pero lo mas peligroso según los expertos, fue el contacto boca a boca que ocurrió entre los jóvenes. Se abrió una investigación en el Juzgado Nacional en lo Criminal y Correccional Federal N° 7, Con objetivo de aclarar lo que pasó y qué tipo de consumos hubo en la fiesta, se convocó a "todo aquel que desee suministrar datos de interés en relación con los sucesos, aclarando que contarán con las medidas de protección necesarias y que podrán hacerlo con reserva de identidad". En conclusión, estas drogas afectaron bastante el cuerpo de los jovenes, hasta afectaron sus receptores, lo que no les dejo detectar el malestar que deberían haber sentido en sus cuerpos.
